Griffin Ced, Heretical Witchcraft Teacher
Griffin Ced is the Virtue holder and Witch Father for the Ced Tradition and family line. Together with Rita Morgan, the Dame and Mother of the Line, they have lead the Line and Tradition in the USA for the past 20 years. Hailing from Britain, Griffin comes from a mix of Hertfordshire Village folk, Romany Gypsy, Essex and London breeding. The Witchblood was passed onto him across the veil from his Great-Grandmother, who having decided it was time to move on, drowned herself in a bucket a year before his birth. He was raised with Spiritualism and good old fashioned British Craft, into which he was initiated in Essex back in 1975. Escaping the soggy isles for the snowy climbs of Norway, a quick tour of Africa and many other strange lands, he finally fell in love with California, making LA his home for the past 24 years! Griffin has been teaching and leading public rituals for the past two decades and is committed to Community-building today at The Green Man store in North Hollywood. Griffin is the Manager of The Green Man, helping to create the magical experience people have come to love with the store. At the Green Man, in addition to Pagan Products, Griffin and his associates offer public rituals and many diverse craft-related classes on a weekly basis.
Griffin will be presenting two lectures
Reflections on the Pagan Community
Griffin Ced, the manager of the Green Man Store in North Hollywood, has been actively invested in building Pagan Community for over two decades. He was a key participant and architect of rituals and events at Raven’s Flight in the late 90’s, where Griffin introduced the Traditional Witchcraft approach to the Pagan Community at a time when the basic standard practices within the Community were strongly rooted in Wiccan practices and beliefs.
Since this period, he has observed the fast growth of Traditional Witchcraft in all its facets spread within the larger Pagan Community, where for many it has provoked reflection and in some ways a redefining of what it means to be both a Witch and member of the Pagan Community. As the identity of the Pagan Community shifts and evolves towards its own self-defined expression, and as we see a huge increase in diversity of belief and practice within our ranks, there is an enormous need for leadership that understands the nature of this burgeoning revolution of spiritual seekers.
Most importantly, today as we face emerging fundamentalism in religion, beliefs & values both here in America and much of the World we must ask ourselves, What is our collective identity as a community today? How do we secure our Community safety, unity and growth for the coming years?
Death Mysteries, viewed through Traditional Witchcraft
Dealing with Mortality is not something most people today spend a lot of serious time contemplating, outside of the occasional news of disaster, and the inhuman manner in which death is treated within our mainstream media entertainment arena. But to a Traditional Witch, the relationship with Spirit is foundational and our practices and cosmology reflect the importance of the comings and goings of spirit. Many of our practices in life relate to a larger picture of eternity that includes the other realms and underworld, aka the Mound. I consider this subject to be a vital part of the Witch Lore that every “Craft” practitioner should be in possession of! And at this time of year, what better time to reflect on why Samhain is one of the most Hallowed and Important Witch Sabbats of the year!
The background and root of this presentation is from a British Traditional Craft, (non Wiccan) perspective and approach. I will be pulling from my own Ced Tradition Witchcraft Cosmology and practices as they pertain to the Death Realm and Legacy, sharing personal insights and approaches to this subject of Death and Death Mysteries from my personal experience as a Witch, spanning some decades. Though this material may be challenging to some, I hope this Trad Craft approach brings insight, clarity and liberation into this vast Legacy that awaits us within our Witches Blood when opening ourselves to the greater mystery of eternity!

The Mysteries of Yuletide
Join author Ellen Dugan for a class on the Mysteries of Yuletide. The holiday season is fast approaching and as Pagans it can be tough sometimes. But it doesn't have to be. This lecture will include gods and goddesses associated with the holiday, the wild hunt, winter faeries, and also there will be plenty of ideas for celebrating the Sabbat with your coven and or family.
Menopause, The Crone Years and Magick
Join author Ellen Dugan for a candid and hilarious discussion of menopause, magick and the Crone years. This is a no-holds barred, honest and discussion about surviving "The Change" as Witches. This is one of Ellen's most popular classes, however, if you are easily offended by strong language or squeamish listening to a frank discussion of the reality of what happens to a woman's body and her magick during peri-menopause and menopause, this might not be the class for you. That's okay no one will hold it against you...One less person in the room lowers the chance of group hot flashes after all. Get ready to embrace the Crone and the supercharge that comes with it!

Re-Consecrating the Underworld”: The call of Faery We cannot bless the fruits and curse the roots. This old saying has many important implications. No tree will bear fruit without the anchoring and nourishing support of the fundamental basis of the tree…the roots. Yet the drift, neglect and even demonizing of the underworld (the ancestral current, the soil and the deep earth) has weakened our relationship with the underbelly of life. This “under-country” to many of our ancestors was radiant with light and the realm of the ancestors of earth life – the Faery. Orion will address this drift, the causes and effects of it, the nature of the underworld, lore and techniques for healing this rift and restoring the roots to the tree of humanity.
Engaging the Ancestors: A Mandate for Modern Magic We all arrive on earth riding on a current of ancestry, and we all leave on it too. We are bridges between generations and it and we must care for it yet too often people see ancestral matters as the past when it lives in us. Much of the future of our species is contingent upon its relationship to its past. All of us (human and other) partake of a great stream of life called the River of Blood. Yet, sadly few of us have a living awareness of it and how to access, navigate and mediate it for the good of the past, present and future. Orion will share lore about the River and simple techniques to engage with it.
